We are very happy to congratulate Dr Ali Al Behadili on successfully defending his PhD dissertation on 19 September 2025 and passing with minor corrections.

His research titled “Optimization of Injection Brine Composition and Impact of Geochemical Reactivity on Oilfield Scaling” was examined by Dr Karl Stephen (Internal Examiner) and Dr Sina Rezaei Gomari (External Examiner, Teesside University), under the supervision of Prof Eric Mackay.

Ali’s work provides valuable insights into brine chemistry, scaling, and geochemical reactivity in oilfield systems. We are all proud of his hard work and dedication.

Yesterday, he officially submitted the final version of his thesis, marking the successful completion of his PhD.
